Nick Kepler returns as he and his partner Elaine investigate a local pastor who might be skimming the collection plate. When one of Kepler's ops is killed after learning all is not what it seems, he and Elaine find themselves plunged into a whirlwind of shady real estate deals, religious politics, and kidnapping.
