Jim Winter is the crime fiction moniker of author TS Hottle. He began writing crime fiction in 2000 with his short story "A Walk in the Rain."

In 2005, he published his first novel, Northcoast Shakedown, featuring Cleveland PI Nick Kepler. He went on the release two more Kepler novels, Second Hand Goods and Bad Religion, and a novella, Gypsy's Kiss.

He also created Road Rules, an Elmore Leonardesque romp between Cleveland and Savannah, GA, as well as two short story collections. His entire backlist will be available from Clayborn Press in the coming months.

As TS Hottle, he is the creator of The Compact Universe, a space opera series featuring wormholes, heat ray weapons, a dwarf engineer, and a cult to Marilyn Monroe. You can find out more at tshottle.com.
